Ethiopian Troops Abandoned Their Last Base in Hiran Region in Central Somalia

Ethiopian TroopsHiran, (insidesomalia.org)-The Ethiopian troops who were in Hiran region in central Somalia have in the mid hours of overnight relinquish their final base in the region.

These Ethiopian troops were at Kalabeyraka Junction in Jawil location in Hiran region as residents in the area told Somaliweyn radio.

“These Ethiopian troops who were in our location for quite sometime abandoned with their military equipments towards Galgadud region in central Somalia and some towards Somalia and Ethiopian boarder” said Hassan Elmi a resident in the area.

The primary motive behind the abandoning of these troops from Kalabeyrka which they ahave been for along time is not manifest.

This is the final point to dessert without encountering any sort of attacks from their archrivals the insurgents.

Series of attacks between the insurgents and the Ethiopian troops in Hiran region has engulfed the region for the past couple of months.

The Islamic Courts Union is in full control Baladweyn town the headquarters of Hiran region. Last night the Islamic Courts Union were at large keeping the security of the town and were patrolling at every angle of the town.

Top officials from the Islamic Courts Union have been reaching Baladweyn town since last night and and the early hours of today in order to discuss with the town elders about the security of the town.
